Toronto-based factual entertainment prodco Cream Productions has named veteran industry executive and producer Patrick Cameron as head of production.

In his new role, Cameron will oversee the production of Cream’s slate of series and specials produced for American and Canadian networks. He will report directly to company president Kate Harrison.

Cameron previously served as a producer on a number of Cream projects, including Blood & Fury: America’s Civil War for American Heroes Channel and Fear Thy Neighbor for Investigation Discovery (ID).

Cameron’s additional credits include Web of Lies and Paranormal Witness for ID and the award-winning I Declare War. He also directed and produced the action sports documentary Ride and the adventure documentary Alone Across the Arctic.

Cameron’s business ventures include Samaritan Entertainment, PCM Worldwide and TwoThreeFive Films, where he oversaw the development, financing and production of hundreds of music videos and commercials.

“Patrick is a welcome addition to our corporate team at Cream,” said Harrison in a statement. “His calm, level-headed approach combined with his vast knowledge of the industry make him the perfect person to lead our production teams into the future.”

Cream recently premiered History Erased on History, BTK: A Killer Among Us on ID, and The Dictator’s Playbook on PBS. Additionally, Cream is currently in production on an unannounced drama documentary for Netflix.
