Toronto-based prodco Cream Productions has upped former EVP of production Kate Harrison to president and partner of the company, sharing ownership with CEO and co-founder David Brady.

Harrison’s appointment follows the retirement of the company’s co-founder and executive producer Christopher Rowley, who co-founded Cream Productions with Brady in 2003.

Harrison has been with the prodco for six years, and she has produced and managed over 30 feature films, movies-of-the-week and television series, including Fear Thy Neighbor for Investigation Discovery and Paranormal Witness for Syfy.

The promotion is intended to capitalize on what the company says is an expanding North American and international program slate, which includes series orders for a second season of wildlife docuseries Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan for BBC America, BBC Worldwide and OLN Canada; the true-crime docudrama Fear thy Neighbor for Investigation Discovery; and upcoming History Canada series The Great Canadian Dino Hunt.

Commenting on Rowley’s retirement, Brady said, “Christopher has been an invaluable partner over the past 11 years and helped build Cream Productions into a global producer of highly acclaimed and award-winning television. We wish him well as he moves on to the next chapter of exciting adventures in his life.”
