Now’s your chance to let us know your thoughts on what production companies raised the bar for non-fiction and unscripted screen content in 2021.

It’s time once again to begin compiling the Global 100, Realscreen‘s listing of the top production companies working in non-fiction and unscripted content as named by you, members of the non-fiction entertainment industry. If you’d like to contribute by sending us your input, you have until Monday, February 7, 2022 to do so.

This year we’re again asking you to submit your thoughts on what companies should make the list. They could be your peers in the production community, or if you’re a network executive, your production partners. If you’re a distributor or agent, they could be the clients whose work and reputations make your job easier. What makes the company you nominate a trusted partner, or an esteemed peer? What non-fiction/unscripted content did this company create in the past year that warrants praise and recognition, and sets them ahead of the pack?

In order to make the list more representative of both the wide range of production companies creating top quality work around the world and the range of sub-genres covered by non-fiction prodcos, you can also submit what you think were the best pieces of work from the past year in the following categories, and the prodcos behind them:

Reality/unscripted
Factual Entertainment
History and Biography
Lifestyle
Formats
Music, Arts, Culture
Sports documentary/factual
Current Affairs and Social Issues
Science and Natural History

Asking you to consider these categories when casting your nominations will help us compile a list that will be truly diverse, both from a geographical and genre perspective. The results will be published via Realscreen in late March (just in time for the next edition of MIPTV).

Send your nominations in to Barry Walsh at bwalsh@brunico.com, or to our general news address, press@realscreen.com. If you are nominating a production company, please state a project or two that your choice produced over the past year. And feel free to include any comments about your choice, and the projects they were behind, as we’d like to include industry commentary concerning the work of the past year within the report. Please note that the onus will be on content produced over the past year — 2021 — and not upcoming projects.

Thanks very much for your input!
