It’s time once again to select the Global 100, realscreen‘s listing of the top production companies working in non-fiction and unscripted content as named by you, members of the non-fiction entertainment industry.

If you’d like to contribute by sending us your input, you now have until Thursday, January 25 to do so.

This year we’re again asking you to submit your own personal lists of the non-fiction and unscripted programs and documentaries that you believe were the most innovative, original, best executed and just plain best productions of 2017, and the production companies behind them. (If you don’t know the prodcos behind the projects, we can help you track them down.)

In order to make the list more representative of both the wide range of production companies creating top quality work around the world and the range of sub-genres covered by non-fiction prodcos, we would like you to submit what you think were the best pieces of work from the past year in the following categories:

Reality/unscripted
History
Lifestyle
Formats
Music, Arts and Culture
Political, Social and Religious
Science & Nature

Asking you to consider these categories when casting your nominations will help us compile a list that will be truly diverse, both from an international and genre perspective. The results will be published in the March/April 2018 issue of realscreen (just in time for MIPTV).

Send your nominations in to editor and content director Barry Walsh, associate editor Meagan Kashty, senior writer Daniele Alcinii or staff writer Selina Chignall. If you are nominating a prodco, please state a project or two that your choice produced over the past year as well as any pertinent information about greenlights, program ratings, et cetera. And feel free to include any comments about your choice, and the projects they were behind, as we’d like to include industry commentary concerning the work of the past year within the report.

Thanks very much for your input.
