Have you been meaning to send us your nominations for our upcoming Global 100 listing of the top prodcos in non-fiction, but got sidetracked by the Realscreen Summit? Have no fear, as we’re extending the deadline until Monday, February 10.

The Global 100 is realscreen‘s listing of the top production companies working in unscripted and non-fiction television and film as named by you, members of the non-fiction entertainment industry.

As with previous years, this year we’re asking you to submit your own personal lists of the docs and unscripted/non-fiction programs that you believe were the most innovative, original, best executed and just plain best productions of 2013, and the production companies behind them. (If you don’t know the prodcos behind the projects, we’ll do the research and track them down.)

In order to make the list more representative of both the wide range of production companies creating top quality work around the world and the range of subject matter covered by non-fiction prodcos, we would like you to submit what you think were the best pieces of work from the past year in the following categories:

Reality/unscripted

Factual entertainment

History

Lifestyle

Music, Arts and Culture

Political, Social and Religious

Science & Nature

We feel that asking you to consider these categories when casting your nominations will help us compile a list that will be truly diverse, both from an international and topical perspective. The results will be published in the March/April 2014 issue of realscreen (just in time for MIPTV).

Send your nominations in to Adam Benzine at abenzine@brunico.com, Kelly Anderson at kanderson@brunico.com, Kevin Ritchie at kritchie@brunico.com and editor/content director Barry Walsh at bwalsh@brunico.com. If you are nominating a prodco, please state a project or two that your choice produced over the past year. And feel free to include any comments about your choice, and the projects they were behind, as we’d like to include industry commentary concerning the work of the past year within the report.

As always, thanks for your input.
