One of Discovery Channel’s most popular unscripted series is back in production and returning to the network later this year.

Dirty Jobs, starring Mike Rowe, first aired on Discovery from 2005-2013, and also came back as a limited series, Dirty Jobs: Row’d Trip, in the summer of 2020. Rowe also hosted another series, Somebody’s Gotta Do It, on CNN from 2014-2016, and TBN until 2018.

The upcoming season of the rebooted Dirty Jobs will feature Rowe traversing the U.S. — from the bayous of the South to its remote Badlands and beyond — and teaming up with the “next generation of hardworking men and women who have made civilized life possible,” according to the network.

“Every now and then, the headlines catch up to a TV show and make it relevant in ways that no one imagined,” said Rowe in a statement. “With essential work in the news, it’s impossible not to think of Dirty Jobs, and for the last year, people have asked me every day if the show would make a comeback. Today, I’m happy to say the answer is yes.”

Dirty Jobs is coproduced for Discovery Channel by School of Humans, LTD. and MRW Productions. For School of Humans, Chad Crowley, Ben Franzen and Brandon Barr are executive producers and Sandi Kloosterman is supervising producer. For MRW Productions, Mike Rowe and Mary Sullivan are executive producers. For Discovery Channel, Joseph Boyle and Joshua C. Berkley are executive producers and associate producer is Paola Espinosa.
