TLC has announced details on its newest transformational medical series, Bad Hair Day, which will premiere on the network on August 24.

Produced for TLC by Crazy Legs Productions, the six-episode series features a pair of dermatologists who, along with an expert hair restoration surgeon, help patients that have been suffering for years from hair-related disorders.

Based in Raleigh, NC, Dr. Angie Phipps (pictured right) performs restorative procedures for patients suffering from such conditions as third-degree burns, male pattern baldness, and the hair-pulling disorder trichotillomania. Houston dermatologist Dr. Isha Lopez (pictured center) consults with patients in need of all manner of follicular fixes, including a woman who is self-conscious about her psoriasis and a man who uses his hair to hide a growth on his head.

The third member of the team, Kansas City–based Harvard Medical School grad Dr. Meena Singh (pictured left), uses lasers or surgical tools to address conditions like excessive hair growth, traction alopecia and hair loss.
