Following the success of such “medical transformation” series as Dr. Pimple Popper and My Feet are Killing Me, Discovery-owned cable net TLC is prescribing more fare in the genre for its audiences, with two limited series getting the go-ahead.

Stuck, produced by Banijay-owned 51 Minds Entertainment, follows medical professionals as they endeavor to perform difficult “foreign body extractions” and removal procedures perhaps not unlike what you’d see in a typical episode of Grey’s Anatomy. According to the network, if you can imagine a high heel embedded in someone’s face, or an arrow in a wrist, you’re on the right track.

The series will also feature interviews with the patients, doctors and medical staff who piece together the stories behind each gruesome incident.

Stuck will premiere on February 16, with the new season premiere of Dr. Pimple Popper acting as its lead-in.

The second series, Body Parts, produced by Lucky Dog Films and premiering on April 6, follows certified anaplastologist Allison Vest as she works to create realistic and life-enhancing prosthetics for patients who have lost major body parts.

“We can’t wait to introduce Allison Vest, an endearing anaplastologist who will have patients and viewers in tears as she transforms lives using her gifted skills in art and science to recreate missing Body Parts,” said Howard Lee, president of TLC Streaming and Network Originals, in a statement. “And in another vein, our new immersive medical series Stuck promises a rush of anticipation as doctors try to pry out objects that have invaded patient’s bodies in places they should very clearly not be stuck.”
