Sharp Entertainment, the production company behind the hit 90 Day Fiancé franchise for TLC, will debut another relationship reality series this month on Discovery+, TLC’s streaming stablemate under the Discovery umbrella.
Premiering on January 30, Love Off the Grid goes inside the ramshackle homes (and possibly relationships) of odd-couple pairings who are trying to keep love alive while living off the land.
The series spotlights four couples, each of which is composed of one partner who is accustomed to the amenities and luxuries of city living, and one who has forsaken civilization and built their home in a rugged, remote location in order to commune with nature and live a full-on DIY lifestyle.
In each case, the city-mouse half of the duo relocates to the wilderness retreat of their partner, where they must contend not only with roughing it in the bush, but also with additional issues such as notable age discrepancies or one partner’s philosophical commitment to polyamory.
This will be Sharp Entertainment’s second series for the streamer, following the debut of Love in Paradise: The Caribbean last summer.
Love Off the Grid is executive produced by Matt Sharp, Dan Adler and Doug Fitch for Sharp Entertainment, and Keith Hoffman and Erin Wanner for Discovery. Sarah Russell is supervising producer for the series, with Marissa Donovan serving as production coordinator.
