TLC expands its 90 Day franchise once more 

Discovery-owned cable network TLC will follow six 90 Day fan-favorite singles as they dive back into the dating world in the latest installment of its relationship franchise.

Produced by Sharp Entertainment, an Industrial Media company, 90 Day: The Single Life (pictured) will pick up with the group of singles after their respective relationships have come to an end and will follow as they prepare themselves to dip their toes back into the dating pool. 

The series will trace the six singles as they look to find a compatible partner with the help of friends, family, dating coaches, events and apps, all while attempting to let go of the baggage from their past international lovers.

90 Day: The Single Life is slated to launch on Discovery+ Feb. 21 with new episodes being added to the factual streaming service weekly.

The 90 Day franchise now comprises of seven original seasons and seven spin-off series, including 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? The Couples Tell All, 90 Day Fiancé: Just Landed90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined90 Day Fiancé: Pillow Talk and 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days.

PBS Int’l licenses Trump’s American Carnage to buyers worldwide

PBS International, the worldwide co-production and distribution arm of PBS Distribution, has sent the ‘Frontline’ documentary special Trump’s American Carnage to broadcasters across the globe.

The film will offer a look at how the U.S. reached this volatile moment in history by tracing former President Donald Trump’s time in the White House, beginning with his inaugural address, where the president famously vowed an end to what he called “American carnage,” to the violent and fatal siege of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

International broadcasters that have picked up the film include ZDF Info in Germany, VRT and RTBF in Belgium, SBS Australia, SRC in Canada, RTS Switzerland, RTP Portugal, RTÉ in Ireland, EBS in South Korea, DR Denmark, DIRECTV in Latin America, B1 in Romania, and PBS America in the UK.

Trump’s American Carnage premieres across PBS stations throughout the U.S. tonight (Jan. 26).

GRB Studios kicks off 2021 with multiple sales

American content studio and global distribution company GRB Studios has secured a number of distribution deals with broadcasters from Africa to Europe, and UK/Ireland to the Middle East.

The package totals nearly 200 hours of content across a variety of genres, including comedy specials, action docuseries, investigative programs and more.

Germany’s ProSieben has acquired the docuseries Turquoise Fever, chronicling a Nevada gem-mining family, and reality series Auction Kings, offering a behind-the-scenes look at eclectic auctioneers, for German-speaking Europe. ViaSat, meanwhile, has taken Turquoise Fever for its viewers across Central and Eastern Europe and Scandinavia.

In the UK, AETN picked up the third season of Auction Kings, as well as the 10th season of investigative series On the Case, while nascent AVOD platform You Look picked up three culinary series in Eat Your Words (seasons one and two), Recipe Rehab, and two seasons of soul food docuseries Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s for its viewers in Ireland and the UK.

Elsewhere, MNET in Africa, Comedy Central Middle East and NextUP, a UK-based SVOD service, secured 18 stand-up comedy specials from such comedians as Eddie Griffin, Finesse Mitchell, Jermaine Fowler, Michael Yo, Whitney Cummings, Margaret Cho, Mose Kasher, D.L. Hughley, Janeane Garofalo, Maz Jobrani and Maria Bamford.
