UK-based distributor DCD Rights and U.S. OTT channel publisher Runtime Media are partnering to launch a channel dedicated to the popular Bridezillas non-fiction franchise.

The channel will allow UK viewers the opportunity to watch the more than 200 episodes of Bridezillas via Samsung TV Plus and AVOD steamer Pluto TV. Additional platform deals are expected to be announced soon.

Under the agreement, Runtime Media will curate the new channel on behalf of DCD Rights, and is Runtime’s first launch in the UK, following digital channels in the U.S., Spain, Mexico and Brazil.

Bridezillas is produced by September Films for WE TV in the U.S., and latterly by one of WE TV production divisions in an existing format deal brokered through DCD Rights.

Bridezillas is a phenomenal multi-series franchise which is hugely popular in the UK. We decided that a customized channel would be an excellent way to ensure that fans of the show were able to easily access their favourite episodes free-to-air, whenever they wanted. It’s also a great opportunity for those who haven’t already become dedicated followers to find their way to the series,” said Nicky Davies Williams Williams, CEO of DCD Rights, in a release.

“Being that Bridezillas is such a well-known and successful series, we are beyond thrilled to be offering the new, binge-able channel to both our platform partners and fans alike in the UK,” added Arman Oner, founder and CEO of Runtime Media.
