Distribution360 names partners for Race Against the Tide

London’s Distribution360 has announced production partners for its new competition series, Race Against the Tide (pictured).

Eureka Productions (The Voice) will take the format in Australia, Free Kings (Bake Off) lands rights for Dutch-speaking Belgium, BBC Studios (Dancing With the Stars) optioned both French and German-speaking territories in Europe, EQ Media Group (Cooks on Fire) will launch in New Zealand, while Tern Television (Scotland’s Sacred Islands with Ben Fogle) lands the UK and Ireland.

Created and produced by Toronto’s marblemedia, Race Against the Tide puts world-class sand sculpting teams to the ultimate test as they compete against each other and the unstoppable tide. The competitors work to dig, pound and carve sculptures made entirely of sand before the tide comes crashing in.

The original 10 x 30 series, commissioned by CBC, was filmed on the shores of the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick, Canada – home to the highest tide in the world.
